Who's Who at Knockomie

Hospitality Assured Acredited in 2005, and re-acredited in 2008, the Knockomie team are here to look after you and ensure that everything is done to make your stay as enjoyable and memorable as possible.

Led by Gavin and Penny Ellis, the Ellis family have been running Knockomie since 1987. Since 1993, when Gavin and Penny got married, they have both been actively involved in the day to day running of the hotel.

Their hands-on approach ensures a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and they and their team strive to provide a highly professional level of service.

Gemma Black, our Operations Manager, studied Marketing and Tourism Management at university before joining the Knockomie Team in early 2008.  Gemma deals with the organisation of weddings and private parties as well as the day to day running of the hotel.

Peter Norrie, our Chef Patron, has worked in some fantastic establishments including Kilcamb Lodge Hotel, Strontian, Room at One Devonshire Gardens (Hotel du Vin), Glasgow, and the City Inn, Glasgow. Peter, originally from Nairn, brings with him a wealth of experience and produces exciting and creative dishes using the best that Scotland's larder has to offer.

Naidene, our Food and Beverage Supervisor, has been in the hospitality industry for a number of years and will ensure you enjoy your dining experience at Knockomie.

Lucyna Bartkowska is our Head Housekeeper and breakfast waitress.  She and her team work tirelessly to ensure that your bedroom and the hotel are perfect for your stay.

Yassmin Jobe is our Receptionist and is always delighted to help guests plan their activities and provide some guidance of things to do in the area.

Steven Hizzett, Junior Sous Chef, works alonside Peter to ensure your food is of the highest standard and leads the kitchen in Peter's absence.
